Change from larger amounts
Adding prices and giving change are everyday money sums.
How to do it
- Total: add the prices, dollars with dollars and cents with cents.
- Change: what you paid minus the price. Count up from the price to make it easy.
Worked example
$3.45, paid with $5
Count up: + 55c makes $4, + $1 makes $5
Change: $1.55
