A translation slides a point; a reflection flips it over a mirror line.

How to do it

  1. Translate: add to x for right, add to y for up.
  2. Reflect in the x-axis: y changes sign. In the y-axis: x changes sign.

Worked example

(2, 3) moved 4 right and 1 down
x: 2 + 4 = 6. y: 3 − 1 = 2.
